The March 2010 issue of Philadelphia Magazine is now on news stands across the Philly region. In it, the writers list the "best" places to live in the area and list the average sale prices, days on market and measure year over year increases or declines for markets in the City, Main Line and surrounding suburbs.

Visit the Philadelphia Magazine website.  They have calculator that will tell you how your neighborhood or zip code has fared in the past year.  Information is based on MLS data and is deemed accurate and reliable.  It was compiled by the analysts at Prudential Fox Roach.

Some of the numbers look reasonable, others look a little dubious.  For example, Philly Mag reports a 57.4% increase in values for the 19102 Center City zip code.  An explanation for this could be the influx of new condo projects to the market, such as The Ellington, Aria and The Residences at The Ritz Carlton

It's a great read and the calcualtor is fun.  Go take a look.
